- ed: disadvantaged, interested, excited

- ing: interesting

- ful: useful, helpful, meaningful

- less: hopeless

1. If people spend most of their time doing nothing, they will find their lives meaningless. (mean)

1. I don't understand what the second friend says.

Irregular past tense verbs  (Những động từ ở bất quy tắc ở thì quá khứ đơn)

Rewrite the sentences in the past tense, using the time expression in brackets. (Viết lại các câu sau ở thì quá khứ, sử dụng các cụm từ thời gian trong ngoặc.)

3. My father sometimes reads newspapers in bed. (last night)

=> My father read newspapers in bed last night.

4. My mother makes my bed on weekends. (last Sunday)

5. I write letters to my grandparents at the weekend. (yesterday afternoon)

Match 1-5 with a-e and complete the sentences in the past simple or the past continuous. (Nối 1-5 với a-e và hoàn thành các câu ở thì quá khứ đơn hoặc quá khứ tiếp diễn.)

Fill in the blanks with the correct form of verbs in past simple or past continuous
